The Unitree G1-D Ultimate D U9 is a high-end dual-arm humanoid robot that puts advanced five-finger dexterous hands on a mobile chassis. Within the G1-D family it is the build for teams that want both intelligent mobility and expressive, human-like manipulation in a single platform — the robot travels to the work, then engages with it using an end-effector shaped like a hand.

The five-finger geometry is what defines the D configuration. A hand with five digits can form the grasp taxonomies people use, work with tools and controls designed for human hands, and produce gestures that read clearly to a person standing nearby. That last point is easy to undervalue: in human-robot interaction and public-facing demonstration settings, a hand that looks and behaves like a hand communicates intent in a way a parallel gripper simply cannot. Unitree describes the U9's manipulation as expressive for exactly this reason.

Paired with the wheeled base, the platform is positioned for research, AI and automation development. It suits embodied-AI groups training policies that must generalise to human environments, automation teams evaluating humanoid form factors against real tasks, and laboratories running interaction studies where the robot's hands are part of how it communicates. Buyers who prioritise force-controlled repeatability over anthropomorphism should compare the Ultimate B U7 with its Dex3-1 three-finger hands.

Robotix Market sources the Unitree G1-D range new through established distribution channels, and every unit is supplied with the full manufacturer's warranty provided by Unitree Robotics. Technical questions and any warranty work are coordinated with the manufacturer's service network. Because the G1-D is a research-grade platform, we recommend confirming your intended workcell layout, power provision and software toolchain with our team before ordering.
