- Audio and video access (MediaController) The wake word, reply phrases and the audio and video streams are open to your code.
- Image transmission to the app The camera view reaches the NOETIX Run app on the EDU-Air; Noetix has not enabled it yet on the EDU-Pro and EDU-Max.
- 4G/5G and the full dance library Mobile connectivity alongside Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, high-intensity dances and the Chinese New Year dance.
- Teaching mode and visual programming Record moves by hand and program in the app, then move on to Python and C++ on the same robot.

Description
The Noetix Bumi EDU-Air is the entry developer edition of Noetix Robotics' compact humanoid robot: the same 98 cm, about 17 kg body with 21 degrees of freedom as the consumer Bumi, opened up for code. Every EDU edition gives developers motor-level control (LowController), Noetix's high-level motion commands (HighController) and audio and video access (MediaController) through an open DDS SDK for C++ and Python.
The EDU-Air has no on-board developer computer: your programs run on a computer of your choice and talk to the robot's motion-control board (Rockchip RK3576, 6 TOPS, closed to users) through the SDK. It suits courses and labs that already have workstations, and it is the EDU edition with image transmission to the NOETIX Run app. The EDU-Pro and EDU-Max add an NVIDIA Jetson computer and an Intel RealSense depth camera on board. This edition was previously listed here as “Bumi Edu”.
The SDK is open-source on GitHub under BSD-3-Clause and prebuilt for Ubuntu 22.04, and Noetix publishes the Bumi URDF model and developer documentation. Beyond development, the EDU-Air keeps everything the consumer Bumi does — walking, teaching mode, visual programming, audiobooks, voice conversation in Chinese and English and the full dance library, including high-intensity routines and the Chinese New Year dance — with a 4G/5G module alongside Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The knee joints deliver up to 70 N·m, a camera and an IMU handle perception, and a 48 V 5.1 Ah quick-release smart battery gives 2–3 hours of runtime and charges off the robot in about 1–2 hours. The rear ports (Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 3.0 and HDMI) connect to the motion-control board.
Good to know: motor-level code runs below Noetix's own motion algorithms, so follow the Noetix developer documentation, keep people at a safe distance while the robot moves and, as Noetix advises, hang the robot on a support frame while you debug. Bumi does not run or climb stairs, is not waterproof and its modelled hands are not built to carry loads. Noetix is preparing EDU course material. Every Bumi is sourced new through established distribution channels with the Noetix manufacturer warranty, and Robotix Market ships worldwide.

The Noetix Bumi EDU-Air Humanoid Robot is priced at €9.175 in your market. For volume or project orders, contact us for a business quote.
All three share the same 98 cm, 21-joint body, battery, 4G/5G module and full development access: HighController, LowController and MediaController. They differ in on-board computing. The EDU-Air is developed from your own computer; the EDU-Pro carries an NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano Super (67 TOPS) and the EDU-Max a Jetson Orin NX (117 TOPS), both with an Intel RealSense D435i depth camera. Image transmission to the app works on the EDU-Air; Noetix has not enabled it yet on the EDU-Pro and EDU-Max.
The EDU line opens motor-level control (LowController) and audio and video access (MediaController), adds the Chinese New Year dance and includes a 4G/5G module. The consumer Bumi Standard and Bumi Pro stop at high-level motion control (HighController).
Noetix confirms that every Bumi ships with its quick-release smart battery and a charger with charging base, packed in a two-layer box with foam inserts that Noetix recommends keeping for storage. The robot is controlled from the free NOETIX Run app, so no remote controller is needed, and the SDK, URDF model and documentation are downloaded from GitHub. Noetix publishes one kit for all three EDU editions; we confirm the full packing list with your quotation.
A computer of your own: the DDS SDK for C++ and Python is prebuilt for Ubuntu 22.04 and open-source on GitHub, and HighController, LowController and MediaController all run on that computer. Noetix's motion-control board stays closed to users. As Noetix advises, hang the robot on a support frame while you debug motor-level code. Noetix is preparing EDU course material in graphical and Python programming; ask us for its current status.
Yes. Robotix Market ships worldwide. Every Bumi is sourced new through established distribution channels and comes with the Noetix Robotics manufacturer warranty, 12 months from first activation under Noetix's after-sales policy; technical support is coordinated with the manufacturer's service network.
