- Pressure-Sensor Array A plantar pressure-sensor array records how load is distributed under the feet, providing the raw measurement behind every other function of the system.
- COP Parameters Centre-of-pressure parameters are derived from the array, quantifying sway and weight shift that a clinician would otherwise have to judge by observation.
- Posture and Balance Analysis Posture and balance are analysed from the pressure data, giving objective figures to track across a rehabilitation programme.
- Proprioception Assessment Proprioception assessment addresses the patient's sense of position and load, a common deficit behind balance and gait problems.
- Gamified Interactive Training The same sensor array drives interactive training games, so weight shift becomes the control input and training runs on the instrument that measured the deficit.
- Assessment-to-Training Continuity Assessment and training share one platform and one data source, so exercises can be set against the measured baseline rather than a separate device's scale.
Description
The Fourier PelmaMotus is a foot plantar pressure assessment and training platform built around a pressure-sensor array. It derives centre-of-pressure (COP) parameters, analyses posture and balance, assesses proprioception, and turns the same measurement into gamified interactive training.
Plantar pressure is where balance becomes measurable. The sensor array records how load is distributed under the feet and how the centre of pressure moves, which is the quantitative basis for posture, balance and proprioception assessment — things a clinician would otherwise judge by eye. Because the same array drives the interactive training games, the patient's weight shift becomes the game input, and the exercise is scored against the assessment it came from.
PelmaMotus belongs to the Fourier Rehab range and is intended for professional environments — hospitals, rehabilitation centres, clinical research groups, balance and mobility training, neurorehabilitation, orthopaedic rehabilitation and occupational therapy programmes. It is a quote-only medical rehabilitation product: configuration, accessories, software and regional compliance requirements are confirmed during quotation. Units are sourced new through established distribution channels with the full manufacturer warranty, Robotix Market ships worldwide, and after-sales support is coordinated with Fourier's service network. On-site installation and commissioning are not included.

Frequently Asked Questions
It is a foot plantar pressure assessment and training system. Its pressure-sensor array measures load distribution under the feet to derive COP parameters, analyse posture and balance and assess proprioception, and then drives gamified interactive training.
Plantar pressure across a sensor array, from which centre-of-pressure parameters are calculated. Those figures underpin the posture, balance and proprioception analysis.
Training is gamified and interactive: the patient's own weight shift, captured by the same pressure array, becomes the input to the exercise, so training is delivered on the instrument that produced the assessment.
