- Concrete Laitance Removal Purpose-built to grind off the weak surface layer of concrete — the preparation step that decides whether the coating or polish applied afterwards will bond properly.
- LiDAR Navigation The robot locates itself on the floor plate with LiDAR, so coverage is driven by a live map of the space rather than by an operator's estimate of where the previous pass finished.
- Smart Path Planning Automatic path planning takes the machine across open floor areas methodically, which is what makes an even grind repeatable across a large slab.
- Dust Control Dust control is listed as part of the machine's design. Grinding concrete is inherently dusty work, and keeping operators out of the immediate grinding zone changes the exposure picture on site.
- Epoxy, Hardened and Terrazzo Floors Listed for epoxy, hardened and terrazzo floor systems, covering the surface types most common in commercial and industrial buildings.
- Built for Large-Area Work Aimed at commercial and industrial building projects where floor plates are measured in thousands of square metres and consistency across the whole area matters more than peak speed on one pass.
Description
The BMR Floor Grinding Robot is an automatic concrete grinder built to remove concrete laitance and prepare or polish large floor areas without a crew walking a hand-guided machine across every square metre. It is listed for epoxy, hardened and terrazzo floors — the three surface families where the quality of the grind directly determines whether the finish that follows will bond and look right.
Laitance removal is the step most often rushed on a construction programme. It is repetitive, slow, and its quality is invisible until a coating fails, so it is exactly the kind of work that benefits from a machine that grinds each pass the same way as the last. The robot navigates by LiDAR and works to smart path planning, which is what allows it to cover an open floor plate methodically rather than relying on an operator's judgement of where the last pass ended.
Dust control is listed alongside the navigation and grinding functions. Concrete grinding is a dust-heavy job, and taking the operator out of the immediate working zone changes the exposure picture on a busy jobsite. The exact dust-handling arrangement, working width and power requirement should be confirmed at quote rather than assumed.
BMR positions the machine for construction robotics and jobsite automation, commercial and industrial building projects, and large-area workflows where repeatability, efficiency and worker safety are the deciding factors. It is a fleet-scale tool for contractors grinding floor plates by the thousand square metres, not a one-room machine.
The BMR Floor Grinding Robot is supplied new through established distribution channels and arrives with the full manufacturer warranty. Robotix Market ships worldwide, and after-sales support is coordinated with BrightMaster Robotics' service network. On-site installation and commissioning are not included. Frequently Asked Questions
It is an automatic concrete grinder used to remove concrete laitance and to grind or polish floors on construction and industrial projects. It is listed as suitable for epoxy, hardened and terrazzo floors, and is aimed at large-area work where the same quality of grind has to be repeated across a whole floor plate.
It navigates using LiDAR and works to smart path planning, so it covers the floor area methodically instead of depending on an operator to judge where the last pass ended. That is what makes coverage repeatable on a large open slab.

Dust control is listed as part of the machine's design, and having the robot rather than an operator in the immediate grinding zone changes site exposure. The exact dust-handling arrangement is not published, so confirm the specifics with us at quote stage if it is critical to your application.
